(2) पद्म पुराण :–

दूसरा हैं पद्मपुराण, जिसमें हैं पचपन हजार श्र्लोक और यह ग्रन्थ पाँच खण्डों में विभाजित किया गया है, जिनके नाम सृष्टिखण्ड, स्वर्गखण्ड, उत्तरखण्ड, भूमिखण्ड तथा पातालखण्ड हैं, इस ग्रंथ में पृथ्वी आकाश, तथा नक्षत्रों की उत्पति के बारे में विस्तार से उल्लेख किया गया है, चार प्रकार से जीवों की उत्पत्ति होती है जिन्हें उदिभज, स्वेदज,अणडज तथा जरायुज की श्रेणी में रखा गया है, यह वर्गीकरण पूर्णतया वैज्ञानिक आधार पर है। भारत के सभी पर्वतों तथा नदियों के बारे में भी विस्तार से वर्णन है, इस पुराण में शकुन्तला दुष्यन्त से ले कर भगवान राम तक के कई पूर्वजों का इतिहास है, शकुन्तला दुष्यन्त के पुत्र भरत के नाम से हमारे देश का नाम जम्बूदीप से भरतखण्ड और उस के बाद भारत पडा था यह पद्म पुराण हम सभी भाई-बहनों को पढ़ना चाहियें, क्योंकि इस पुराण में हमारे भूगौलिक और आध्यात्मिक वातावरण का विस्तृत वर्णन मिलता है।
(2) PADMA PURANA :-
The second is the Padma Purana, which contains fifty-five thousand verses and this book is divided into five sections, whose names are Srishtikhand, Swargakhand, Uttarakhand, Bhumikhand and Patalkhand. It has been said that there are four types of living beings, which have been kept in the category of Udibhaja, Svedaj, Andaj and Jarayuj, this classification is completely on scientific basis.All the mountains and rivers of India are also described in detail, in this Purana there is a history of many ancestors from Shakuntala Dushyant to Lord Rama, the name of our country from Jambudip to Bharatkhand and that of Shakuntala Dushyant’s son Bharat. After Bharat came, this Padma Purana should be read by all of us brothers and sisters, because in this Purana a detailed description of our geographical and spiritual environment is found.
