One of the initial grades developed and widely used in the market is SS Grade 304 for enduring corrosive environments. Austenitic Stainless Steel, Grade 304 contains high levels of nickel and chromium with other alloying elements are manganese, silicon, and iron in smaller quantities. Nickel contains 8 – 10.5% and chromium is 18 – 20%.
Stainless Steel Grade 316 has the same elements in different quantities. Because of high amounts of chromium and nickel with silicon, carbon, and manganese, with the major portion consisting of iron and this grade also has a denser chemical composition, with 2 – 3% molybdenum, which Grade 304 only has traces of. With this combination of elements in SS 316 this makes it more resistant to corrosion than 304.
If you compare between the SS 316 and SS 304 grade 304 is more cost-effective than 316. Even though grade 316 is more expensive industries used it for its high corrosion resistance.

National Pipe Taper Thread (NPT)
National Pipe Taper Thread (NPT) is most commonly used in the United States (where it was created) and Australia to a lesser extent. NPT threads in Australia are generally supplied as high-pressure fittings where both male and female threads are tapered. However, there are some lower pressure fittings available in Australia as 150# fittings that are male tapered and female parallel.
BSP Threads
